Who we are
This website, https://uaworkers.ca, is operated by Ukraine Workers Corp.(“Ukraine Workers”, “we”, “us”), a company based in 974 Lincoln Rd, Windsor, ON N8Y 2H2, Ontario, Canada. We connect homeowners across Southwestern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area with home improvement and renovation crews. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).
What information we collect
When you submit a “Get a Free Estimate” or contact form, we collect:
- Information you provide: your name, phone number, and any details you add about your project or property (for example the type of work, address of the job site, or a short message). Partner/contractor applications also collect your region and a description of your experience.
- Technical information collected automatically: your IP address (stored only in hashed form), an approximate location derived from your IP, the page you submitted the form from, the referring page, and your browser user-agent string.
- Analytics and cookies: we use website analytics tools — Google Tag Manager (which may load Google Analytics), product analytics, and Vercel Analytics — to understand how the site is used. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure page views and traffic sources. We do not set login or user-profile cookies.
We do not operate user accounts, logins, or public discussion threads on this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Why we use your information
- To prepare an estimate and respond to your request.
- To contact you by phone, text, or email about the work you asked about.
- To pass your request to a partner contractor who can carry out the work you need.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
We rely on your consent (given when you check the consent box and submit a form) and on our legitimate business interest in responding to enquiries. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share your information with
We share your information only with parties that help us deliver the service:
- Partner contractors: the skilled crews we refer your job to so they can contact you and prepare an estimate.
- Hosting: Vercel Inc., which hosts this website and processes traffic to it.
- Lead storage & messaging: our database provider and Telegram, which we use to receive and manage incoming requests internally.
- Email: SendPulse, our transactional email provider, when we email you from info@uaworkers.ca or finance@uaworkers.ca.
- Analytics providers: as described above.
Some of these providers may store or process data outside Canada (for example in the United States). We ask you not to send us more information than we need to contact you and quote your project.
How long we keep your information
We keep lead and contact information only as long as needed to respond to your request, complete the work, and meet our legal and accounting obligations — typically no longer than is reasonably necessary for those purposes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Your rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate;
- ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal retention requirements;
- withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time.
